WASHINGTON – The PTSD Coach smartphone application (app), launched in April by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the Department of Defense (DoD), has already helped more than 5,000 users connect with important mental health information and resources.

In a press release dated June 29, 2010, Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell spoke of his “commitment to make Virginia the most Veteran friendly state in America.” Mount Rogers Community Services Board shares this commitment and has the great honor of doing our part to support and implement this goal through our Industrial Developmental Centers (IDC), Virginia Wounded Warrior Program, and the partnerships we have formed with the Department of Defense, Virginia Department of Veterans Services, and Virginia Department of Rehabilitative Services.

Virginia Wounded Warrior Program Hires Regional Coordinator for Southwestern Virginia
RICHMOND—Cathy Wilson, Executive Director of the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program (VWWP), Virginia Department of Veterans Services announced today that Lisa R. Yost, M.S., Q.M.H.P, has been named Regional Coordinator of the VWWP in Southwestern Virginia. Ms. Yost is filling a new position made possible by the recent federal grant awarded to VWWP for expansion of its Southwestern Region.
National Caregiver Support Line
On February 1, 2011, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is opening a toll-free National Caregiver Support Line housed at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center campus in Canandaigua, New York.
