The Virginia Wounded Warrior Program
welcomes your involvement and feedback in our program and activities. Check out what’s happening around the state and in your local area.
- Besides providing direct services, we routinely conduct or facilitate various training opportunities, support groups and organize or advertise fun events for our veterans and family members.
- We participate in or coordinate job and health fairs, Yellow Ribbon Reintegration events and much more. Our volunteer program, while just getting started, offers a variety of activities to participate in.
- Stay Connected- and sign up from the side bar on any page of our website to subscribe to the VA Department of Veterans Services (DVS) announcement list and receive updated aggregated e-news for Veterans.
- Donate - The Virginia General Assembly appropriates roughly $2M per year to fund the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program (VWWP). Although generous, state funding is not sufficient to provide an adequate level of service to Virginia's wounded warriors. Support from individuals, veterans service organizations, and the private sector is crucial to maintain a quality statewide program.
