On March 22nd 2011, in conjunction with its annual conference, Virginia ACME held its inaugural Virginia ACME/Virginia Wounded Warrior Golf tournament at Eagle Haven Golf Course on Little Creek Amphibious Base in Norfolk.

The event was a huge success with 90 golfers participating including 10 Wounded Warriors. Fifteen universities sponsored individual holes and Arnold Palmer donated signed memorabilia for all Wounded Warrior players. Virginia ACME was able to raise $5,500 for the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program.

Immediate past Virginia ACME President, George Vukovich, presented the donation check to Virginia Wounded Warrior Program Executive Director Catherine Wilson at the Department of Veteran Services headquarters in Richmond, Virginia on May 11th, 2011. Current Virginia ACME President, Michael Midura, also attended along with Paul Galanti, the Commissioner of Veteran Services and Jack Hilgers, the Executive Director of the Virginia Veterans Services Foundation.
