The Langley Aerospace Research Student Scholars (LARSS) Program is a paid, unique, and highly competitive research internship program for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). For 26 years, the LARSS program has helped to preserve U.S. leadership in engineering and science by providing exceptional students the opportunity to work with Langley researchers on some of the Nation’s most important, difficult, and challenging problems that require multi-disciplinary and collaborative solutions.
LARSS is a year-round research internship program with 3 sessions - fall and spring (15 weeks)
and summer (10 weeks). It is open to U.S. citizens who are full-time students in community
college, undergraduate and graduate students, and a few select high school students.
Female students and under-represented minorities, college students with disabilities,
military
veterans, first-generation college students, and students from economically-disadvantaged
backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Full-time student status at an accredited U.S. college or university
- Classification as a rising undergraduate junior or senior, or graduate student (master’s or doctoral level) by the start of the summer session
- Cumulative 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale
