There is hope...

Welcome everyone!  I'm Liz Sparks, aka Nurse Ratchett to those unfortunate patients I cared for in the trauma center!  This is my first time hosting a blog, so bear with me until I get the hang of it.

My message is simple... there is hope and there is help for those who have PTSD, are depressed or suicidal or are survivors of suicide.  My son, PFC Thompson, Army Reservist, took his life in December 2008.  I am an "expert" in grief and surviving a suicide.  The journey will be long and though we will never get over such a tragedy, we will get through it!

I am here to listen and hopefully guide you and support you through your grief experience.  As my son always told me, "just pay it forward mom."  So I shall.

Peace,
Liz
